Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Mechanical Design Engineer located in Cebu, Philippines.
What a typical day looks like:
Apply complex design practices and procedures to assigned product portfolio in area of lighting/light pipe/reflector design.
Work with marketing, customer and engineering team to define end-product requirements.
Assist in generating production and technology roadmaps that support customer expectations
Technical supervision of CAD resources.
Review of Design for Manufacturing and Assembly reports to maximize production yields
Drive prototype part/assembly review, test, validation, debug and documentation for the lighting design aspects.
Support for manufacturing prototype, pilot and mass production builds
May also be assigned to support production related debug or NPI activities
May also participate in quote development, product architecture or technology development activities
Provide complex technical support to customer base to enhance manufacturability and assembly while minimizing costs.
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
Possesses a Degree in related discipline or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 years of working experience in the related field is required
Skill(s): 3D/2D electrical routing design
High Proficiency in UG-NX with CATIA background would be a plus.
Component Selection Experience Based on Customer Engineering Requirements & Specifications
Engineering Change Control Processes and Evaluation of Change Options and cost management
Strong organization and communication skills and Ability to Document Project & Product Design Elements
Experience in Component Level Validation & Harness DVP&R's, DFM, DFMEA, FEM and Stack Analysis
Strong proficiency in Print Marking, Reading, and Checking utilizing 3D Math to Generate 2D Wire Harness Prints
Ability to read and understand specs, IVED schematics, UG data
Familiarity with Team Center or other similar PLM Systems
Strong proficiency in Print Marking, Reading, and Checking utilizing 3D Math to Generate 2D Wire Harness Prints
Performs design/ task reviews to ensure adherence to standards, specifications and work instructions.
