Overview of Role
Interpret customer specifications, produce CAD models and supporting drawings, product documentation, design and fabricate tools; design and build equipment and prototypes; design and conduct experiments; design, gather and evaluate test results; produce test reports and other documentation.

· Maybe responsible for the completion of a phase of a larger project

Skills, Abilities and Mastery (Responsibility Matrix):
Product & Process Documentation:
· Read and interpret customer specifications and drawings for moderately complex products
· Work independently to create and modify complex product and process designs using appropriate design specifications and trade-off curves
· Prepare CAD models and drawings for new parts and assemblies based on customer needs using Solidworks
· Perform pressure vessel calculations using Compress
· Develop product and process solution detail, standards, and associated documentation including trade-off curves
· Understand and apply knowledge capture and reuse methods
· Develop and update regulatory and quality compliance documentation as needed
Testing and Evaluation:
· Perform tests, inspections, and other evaluations of products and processes based on defined procedures and standards and create procedures and standards for these activities
· Create and program applications using appropriate software
· Perform failure analyses of production line and field products
· Contribute to resolution of manufacturability issues with production floor and Manufacturing
· Engineering for new products
· Work independently to create test reports
· Contribute to development of new manufacturing processes
Technical Support:
· Serve as a subject matter expert in appropriate discipline area to provide technical support to engineers, designers, sales agents, customers and production
· Troubleshoot/repair problems with machines or controls
· Work with suppliers to get samples, order parts, and explore cost saving ideas
· Train production employees on products, processes, procedures, and equipment
Administrative Activities:
· Create and assemble BOM, routing and other product attributes for all products designed to support PLM documentation and procedures and identify improvements where necessary
· Understand and follow all organization and department safety policies and procedures and identify improvements where necessary
· Issue tooling and materials purchasing requests
· Perform quality investigations and provide recommendations to address issues
Coaching / Mentoring:
· Provide coaching and feedback to less experienced technicians and designers
· Conduct training and technical orientation for new employees
Qualifications
Must have:
· Bachelor's degree in Engineering and at least 5 years of industrial experiences in related field
· Demonstrated capability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
· At least 2 years of experiences with 3D solid modeling software, background in Solidworks is a plus
· Experiences in pressure vessel, pumps, valves, piping
· Demonstrated understanding and practical application of electrical, thermal and basic metallurgical knowledge
· Good presentation skills
· Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office
· Demonstrated ability to work in a team-based environment
· Demonstrated capability to interact with design team, CART, account managers and sales to optimize a system solution for the customer
· Perform mental tasks such as critical decision making, organizing many topics, prioritizing work to align with business objectives and exercising good judgement.
· Ability to communicate and interact with suppliers and customers effectively.
· Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
· Fluent in English both verbal and written
