Job Description
The Mechanical Design Engineer will be based in Cebu, Philippines. The position is responsible for designing, implementing and validating innovative and cost effective sheet metal product solutions of complex scope in order to support the organization in prototype development through full-scale production.

Here is a glimpse of what you'll do...
Apply complex design practices and procedures to assigned product portfolio in areas with sheet metal design/fabrication, soft tooling processes (sheet metal stamping/fabrication, tig/mig/spot welding) for design of piece parts, sub-assemblies, and system assemblies.
Integrate multiple elements of finished design (such as cabling/backplane/interconnect, power distribution, and thermal/EMC management).
Work with other members of the development team to support corporate design initiatives.
Assist in generating production and technology roadmaps that support customer expectations
Technical supervision of Mechanical CAD resources.
Review of Design for Manufacturing and Assembly reports to maximize production yields
Drive prototype mechanical part/assembly review, test, validation, debug and documentation
Support for manufacturing prototype, pilot and mass production builds
May also be assigned to support production related debug or NPI activities
May also participate in quote development, product architecture or technology development activities
Provide complex technical support to customer base to enhance manufacturability and assembly while minimizing costs
Here is some of what you'll need (required):
Possesses a Degree in related discipline
Minimum 4 - 5 years of working experience in the related field is required
Must be capable on NX 11, (CATIA V5 and Creo is a plus)
Able to understand, interpret, apply GD&T and Tolerance analysis
Experienced in product development, prototyping, testing and validation
Working knowledge in FEA (structural), CFD (Fluid), plastic flow simulation is a plus
Working knowledge in Mechanical Plastic Design and Injection Molding is a plus
Working knowledge in Sheet Metal Design, Tooling and Stamping operation is a plus
Working knowledge in Basic Manufacturing Process
