Use Solidworks to create production drawings for our machine shop, assembly department and suppliers
Use Solidworks Composer to create sales drawings and graphics for our sales and marketing team
Issue controlled drawings and maintain drawing libraries to ensure compliance with company procedures
Create drawings that conform with Australian Standards and to Galvin Engineering drafting practices
Ensure products are compliant with relevant Australian Standards and Regulatory requirements
Design products and create drawings that are toleranced to suit the chosen manufacturing processes
Design products to minimise manufacturing time, processes and wastage.
Job Qualification
Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Degree
At least 3 years experience in Solidworks
Minimum 5 years of working experience designing / developing water control products
Knowledge of manufacturing methods including Milling, Turning, Welding and Casting
Excellent problem-solving skills
High attention to detail
Results driven
Ability & willingness to self manage and execute work with minimal supervision
Ability to work autonomously and engage with a diverse team using online tools
Solid time management skills
Excellent communication skills
Ability to read and understand technical documents including drawings, Specifications and Standards
Proficient in the use of MS Office suite
