MCC Manager Job Description
Responsibilities
 Manage and coordinate the activities of the Duty Maintenance Control personnel assigned to
the Maintenance Control Centre (MCC) covering 24/7 support and ensure that MCC personnel
are properly trained and qualified for their respective responsibilities.
 Provide leadership, direction and guidance to the OCC, CAMO, Flight Operations and
Maintenance Operations, for critical aircraft maintenance and AOG events - to minimise aircraft
down time.
 Ensure real time expertise and guidance is available to Pilots for technical information requests
enroute or on ground. Assist them with interpretation and application of the MEL, in line with
approved Pilot maintenance privileges, when required.
 Ensure the MCC function provides focal point and coordination between CAMO and AMO,
along with Permissable Unserviceability (PU) and Special Flight Permit (SFP) applications.
 Produce and maintain compliant and effective process instructions for the MCC and identify
improvement opportunities that benefit performance and efficiency.
 Oversight of Maintenance Information System (MIS) input for accuracy, completeness, and
compliance.
 Administer and control the deferred planned items, to ensure maintenance is executed within
its due period.
 Ensure Daily and Weekly Inspections are acquitted.
 Develop and maintain Part 21, AMO, Logistics and OEM supplier relationships, for short term
planning requirements, and AOG support.
 Manage any budgetary requirements for the MCC.
Requirements
 Must have a thorough working knowledge of the Policies and Procedures detailed in the OMEL
and CDL, along with the customer CAME and Engineering Procedures.
 Comprehensive knowledge of Airworthiness and Maintenance Control Regulations, in
particular Part M (Part 42), Part 21, and Part 145.
 Aircraft Engineer licence in category B1/B2 with ratings on customer aircraft types, or
comprehensive knowledge of aircraft structure and systems, gained through other Technical
Specialist engagements.
 Effective leadership skills to manage and mentor personnel in a dynamic and high tempo
department.
 Previous Airline MCC, supervisory, or management experience.
 Previous experience with MIS such as AMOS and Trax
Mid-Senior Level / Manager Management and Consultancy Outsourcing / Offshoring 1 opening Bachelor's degree graduate
