WHAT THIS POSITION IS ABOUT - PURPOSE
Fulfill and coordinate all Planning and Purchasing activities connected with materials planning (NTM - non tobacco materials, Leaf components). Perform and optimize short and long term activities for Materials Requirements Planning (MRP): forecast to Suppliers, purchase orders placement, prices maintenance, monitoring of safety stocks and shelf life, material master maintenance. Take care of the efficient NTM and Leaf components stocks at the factory warehouse.
WHAT WILL YOU DO - RESPONSIBILITIES
Execute and coordinate NTM and Leaf components: short, mid and long term material requirements planning based on market requirements, specs, NPD plans, inventory targets, sourcing and lead times, optimum lot size & transport unit load factors, materials shelf life etc. Continuously analyze and optimize materials requirements and inventory turnover. Ensure minimum materials write-offs.
Perform activities related to timely purchasing of Raw materials: cutting of Raw Material Purchase Orders, timely Order Confirmations, Purchase Order expediting and timely delivery montiroring, complaint handling (Material Defect process), timely and accurate SAP data maintenance (material master, requests for Purchase Info Records / Source Lists, dummy PCO), invoice / goods receipt query resolution among warehouse, BSC and suppliers.
Close cooperation with Production Planning team, R&D, Global Procurement, BSC, Finance, Quality, Logistics, Customer Service, Production and other functions as applicable to resolve required issues and ensure efficient and uninterrupted procurement, purchasing and payment processes. Ensure shipping documents are correct and provided to logistics team for customs clearing.
Supporting all Global and Local NTM projects and tests, their implementation and coordination of such projects in the factory.
Supporting respective factory functions in achieving raw materials Inventory targets and bringing inventories down by seeking opportunities with suppliers - eg. vendor managed inventory or kanban ordering systems.
Ensuring that all defective raw materials are addressed to suppliers in a timely manner and the corrective and preventative actions are taken by suppliers. Organizing suppliers technical visits when required to support production. Ensuring timely recording and completion of the Defective NTM procedure.
Continuously assess and improve all processes in the area of responsibility. Maintain SAP APO factory database ensuring data accuracy. Responsible for APO monthly performance overview. Ensure full compliance with JTI Code of Conduct, EHS procedures, labour law, corporate guidelines, internal regulations and work performance instructions, ISO requirements, 5S3R principles. Continuously improve processes within Planning & MS.
Perform any other tasks commissioned by the supervisor. Compliance with EHS procedures, labour law, corporate guidance, internal regulations and work performance instructions.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR - REQUIREMENTS:
Higher Education
Not less than 2 years in FMCG company in Planning function
Incumbent must plan and purchase raw materials and ensure delivery as per production plan requirements and on-going factory projects.
Fluent command of English, both written and spoken
Knowledge in SAP R3 P2P module is a must, competent on MS Office (Excel, Power Point, Word)
SAP ERP & APO Systems knowledge will be an advantage.
