MARKETING OFFICER
Job description:
Prepares and submits client proposals for vessel services.
Provides rate quotations to clients.
Coordinates with clients regarding updates and vessel availability.
Conducts regular client visits to monitor cargo availability.
Follows up on collections in coordination with Accounting for billing and statements.
Collaborates with Operations to ensure timely vessel updates.
Job qualifications:
Cargo shipping experience (domestic/inter-island ops), with working knowledge of rates, routing, port schedules, and basic cargo docs.
2+ years in Marketing/Sales or Account Management with proven client-facing work.
Negotiation & communication skills, can handle rate talks and objections professionally.
Uses trackers to manage leads, quotations, follow-ups, and collections coordination with Accounting.
Coordination skills and basic design/content skills.
