Your Role:
As a Marketing Development Representative (MDR) at SolarWinds, you lead the creation and development of new sales opportunities and demand generation from a variety of software products. Working closely with marketing and sales teams to nurture, qualify and close leads. MDR's at SolarWinds are an important customer facing channel for the company and represent SolarWinds to both prospective customers as well as existing customers. It is important to have a good technical understanding of software tools for IT Professionals and be able to communicate complex product benefits.
Responsibilities
Develop and cultivate company-provided contacts through the opportunity prospecting and qualification process
Meet weekly quality and quantity pipe build metrics
Attainment which meets weekly quality and quantity pipe build metrics: PAR, SQL, SQL Conversions
30% * Generate outputs of monthly attainments
20 SQLs and 125+dials * Articulate SolarWinds solutions, values and abilities to IT Engineers through phone and email communication
Proven ability to understand the management and monitoring needs of the IT Engineer
Develop and cultivate company-provided contacts through prospecting and qualification process
Learn and develop new, creative sales techniques and strategies
Participate in weekly sales meetings and articulate market feedback to SolarWinds' senior leaders
Be able to contribute significantly to SolarWinds' team culture
Qualifications
1+ year of outbound driven phone sales experience
Passion for sales
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent communication skills both oral and written
Excellent problem-solving skills
Good computer skills
Ability to multi-task and track multiple issues
Enjoys working in a fast paced, team focused environment
Previous experience with CRM - NetSuite, Outreach.io and/or SalesForce are a plus
Ability to work autonomously while maintaining focus and work ethic
Motivation to grow and win, individually and as part of a team (aka. Failure isn't an option)
