Job Description:
The Market Valuation & Risk Management group specifically deals with complex and structured trades across different asset classes to ensure all aspects of the trades are captured correctly within the risk and valuation systems, accurately reflecting the complete terms of the executed legal documentation. The review is a crucial control mechanism for exotic derivative trades within Corporate Investment Bank.
Your key responsibilities
Support the team from a process and technology perspective, and improve the overall landscape
Demonstrate detailed understanding of the Credit Derivatives Structured products as well as Trade Services and Financial Services processes that support the various Exotic desks globally
Perform full document review against Models and Trade Capture system, initial investigations of breaks, determining whether the trades should be amended in risk model or booking and allocate to owner
Work closely with stakeholders to identify the root cause of breaks, and to implement process improvements to eliminate them
Challenge inefficient or poorly controlled trade booking practices
Your skills and experience
Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Mathematics, Statistics, Financial Engineering, Actuarial Science, Finance or equivalent, preferably with certification in the following: CIMA, CPA, CFA, FRM, etc.
Able to deal with mathematical risk models, market valuations and review of legal documentation; Solid background in structured complex products like Credit Derivatives is preferred
Experience working effectively with trading, finance and model valuation teams is of advantage
Investigation and problem resolution skills and attention to details are essential
Highly analytical, organized, and can work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, high-risk environment
