Job Description:
Responsibilities:
Prepares engineering design drawings and drawings for various coastal, ports and maritime projects in accordance with the relevant guidelines, standards and codes of practice.
Working alongside the ports and maritime team to handle all aspects of design and drafting from mark-ups to preliminary plans, through to "Issued for Construction" (IFC) drawings.
Contributes to the development, maintenance and improvement of job management processes and systems within the company.
Undertakes to research and include innovation in drafting solutions where appropriate.
Assists engineering staff to acquire electronic and other data from a variety of sources.
Prepares records and manages the filing of documentation, drawings, maps and the like in accordance with company guidelines and processes.
Other duties and assignments as required.
Qualifications:
A Diploma of Civil Engineering, or a Diploma in Drafting,
Comprehensive skill, knowledge and at least 3 years of experience in one or more of bridge, coastal, ports and maritime drafting
Proficient skills in AutoCAD;
3D modelling with AutoCAD, Revit or similar models.
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
Excellent Communication and Collaborative skills to share your knowledge with your team and work with senior members of your team and other APAC drafters
Have a Revit certificate;
Working experience in civil modelling with Civil 3D, 12D or similar models;
Ideally available to travel for short term assignments;
Ideally have familiarity with the drafting standards of major clients in Australia (such as TMR or RMS);
Experience in structural analysis, design and detailing.
