Stride Services is a multi-client accounting firm started 15 years ago as an outsourced partner to professional service businesses around the United States.
Today, Stride serves over 100 clients nationally with a team in the United States and the Philippines. Our primary work is to provide day to day bookkeeping and accounting services to deliver accurate, timely and actionable financial statements and analytics for its clients. Built on the premises of team, process and technology, Stride builds trust and confidence that allows business owners to focus on their highest and best use.
We are looking for a Manager of Accounting and Business Operations Alignment to drive the coordination, management, and execution of all major accounting processes, projects, and initiatives for the organization. Reporting to the CEO, this outcomes-focused leader will identify, plan, coordinate, and communicate those high-impact, cross-functional problems and initiatives that will improve our metrics and decision-making, accelerate throughput, improve quality, and enable scalability of the entire organization.
This role is NOT accountable for Product Management or recurring Client Delivery work. It IS accountable for the design and optimization of "the work that supports the work": implementation of new clients into our Stride Clean standards, quality assurance and training, process optimization and technical (accounting) support.
This role seeks to optimize how we execute as an entire organization.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage your team. Challenge them, especially in the areas where they are experts e.g. accounting. Ensure that the team is focused on high ROI efforts.
Define and manage key projects across the organization, especially those projects or process improvements that streamline and improve cross-functional business execution.
Drive organizational scalability and key process improvements.
Design and deploy internal systems and business metric dashboards to drive execution and scalability.
Ensure smooth communication and coordination, upstream and downstream, between multiple departments involved or impacted by these projects.
Build a culture of accountability by leadership and example.
Set up and monitor appropriate performance targets supporting the broader leadership team and ensuring alignment with overall strategic priorities.
Develop, maintain, and communicate the Objectives and Key Results (OKR) System throughout the organization.
Help to develop business cases for strategic business plans that create decision making around clear business justifications.
Support the CEO in the constant evolution of the strategic direction of the organization.
Supervisory / Management Responsibilities:
Manage a growing, currently -8 person team in the following functions:
Implementations
QA / Training
Process Optimization
Technical (Accounting) Support.
Beneficial Education, Skills and Experience:
Master's Degree/MBA is preferred with Accounting undergraduate
Asana, G-Suite, Google Data Studio, Quickbooks
Required Education, Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration or related field
Demonstrates deep understanding of accounting functions and processes
5+ years of strong process improvement experience (e.g. lean, agile or continuous improvement) is required
5+ years experience in a senior leadership role, preferably leading process improvement or optimization efforts for an accounting firm or department
Experience with Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) Management and strategic planning
Proven success establishing strong relationships and working across all functions within the organization
Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
Proven experience in enabling a fast-growing organization with the information and insights needed to execute effectively and efficiently
Demonstrable competency in strategic planning, negotiation and business development
Excellence in enabling data analysis and performance/operation metrics monitoring for all stakeholders
Skilled in organizational development, personnel management, budget and resource development, and strategic planning
Interpersonal/Communication Skills - ability to channel different points of view; able to establish and maintain excellent relationships and credibility quickly; create team atmosphere with internal staff while achieving key objectives
Skilled in developing, implementing and communicating policies and procedures for diverse functional areas, analyzing data, making sound recommendations and adopting effective causes of action
