The Manager, Learning and Development supports implementation of global initiatives from the global training team. The Manager, Learning and Development is branch and/or client portfolio specific and focuses on the training schedule coordination of trainers, in the branch representative on the global training team. Supports the development of our trainers through observations and coaching.
Train new staff on applicable government regulations and Company strategies, systems, policies, procedures, and practices
Provide support and coaching to client specific trainers and/or branch trainers (where applicable)
Conduct regular training observations (virtual/onsite), coaching and feedback to develop trainers
Facilitate training when required (Virtual/onsite)
Partner with Global Training team on multiple initiatives
Support onboarding and implementation of new clients
Conduct training needs analysis on training material
Act as liaison between branch and global initiatives
Build relationships and knowledge within each client portfolio
Review or delegate job specific training conducted by management or appointed delegate who has the skills and ability required.
Influence others by sharing facilitation, content development and industry best practices regularly, clearly and concisely.
Develop training plans and schedules
Develop and implement new training methodologies, procedures, and materials
Identify content/ tool gaps, opportunities for best practice and training improvement
Raise the bar of content and tools across the organization
Oversee training rollouts for new clients as part of their on-boarding process
Work in partnership with management to determine training needs and assist in the facilitation and development of the organization's learning process
Coach and support the training team in following methodology and standards set by global training.
Monitor training programs and materials to ensure they are effective and up to date
Help implement innovative learning and technology across the company
Champion company core values and other company programs to engage and motivate our employees
Other duties as assigned
Education
Certificate in adult education or equivalent experience.
College Diploma or University Degree in designated field, would be an asset
Experience
Minimum 3 years facilitation experience (or equivalent) plus 2 years successful management experience in a training function, or equivalent experience at Bill Gosling or elsewhere.
Demonstrated experience in Leadership, innovation and an understanding of adult learning principles and technology, preferred but not required
