8x8 is looking for a self motivated and dynamic Manager, HR Generalist to join the APAC HR team. This role will be the face of HR for our Philippines employees and work closely with the APAC HR team to provide backup and support. The role covers a wide range of HR functions including owning and managing the onboarding/offboarding processes, implementation and training on global HR initiatives, assisting in establishment of our offices and infrastructure as we grow, supporting the leadership team and assisting in dealing with the full spectrum of employee requests. This role will work closely with our global operations and talent acquisition teams in the US/EMEA.
Job Responsibilities
Employee facing HR support for the business on all HR related inquiries through calibration with the global and regional HR teams
Ensure timely employee onboarding/offboarding process and partner with IT/Facilities to ensure the smooth process for new hires
Be the lead for Philippines on Company's absence management policies to ensure local compliance
Partner with global workplaces team to manage facilities related initiatives
Partner and work with global immigration team to ensure immigration needs and policies are aligned
Locally manage employee benefits programs in conjunction with the Global Benefits Team
Organise and participate in the implementation of all Global HR initiatives and support on training
Collect feedback on the employee experience during the onboarding and off
f-boarding process and ensure this is fed back to the Global HR team
Provide managers with HR reports and information as needed
Ensure employee data is regularly checked for accuracy
Work closely with the Global Talent Acquisition and Operations teams to build strong collaborative relationships to deliver Service excellence to the Business
Monitor legislative compliance in each country for changes and notify operations and legal to amend policies as needed
Partner with HR Operations and HR team to modify, create or partner on HR policies, policy creation and procedures to ensure compliance and/or support process changes
Support the Functional HR Business Partners on ad hoc projects as needed
Support Global Workplace initiatives and Company events
Key Skills and Experience
Extensive relevant experience providing broad based HR support to managers and employees on the full spectrum of general operation
Passionate about owning outcomes and driving high quality results that build an extraordinary employee experience.
Familiarity with local employment legislation Experience working with International Companies with their HQ outside the Philippines
Strong program management skills
Ability to lead and work effectively across diverse teams, apply rigor and drive forward progress to measurable outcomes
Demonstrated ability to communicate and partner effectively across organizational and geographical boundaries
Ability to navigate complexity and thrive in a fast paced and changing environment using strong judgment and decision-making skills
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
Experience working remotely with Global teams located outside the region is preferred
BA/BS in Human Resources/ Business Administration, or equivalent experience
