DEPARTMENT: Finance REPORTING TO: Chief Financial Office Core Role The Management Advice and Reporting Officer is responsible for the reporting and forecasting of financial information, planning and control especially on cost, and acts as a busine DEPARTMENT: Finance REPORTING TO: Chief Financial Office Core Role The Management Advice and Reporting Officer is responsible for the reporting and forecasting of financial information, planning and control especially on cost, and acts as a business partner to management in execution, development and maintenance of business processes, products and strategic projects. Key Responsibilities Reporting and forecasting Ensures quality and timeliness of the Dynamic Planning, management report and progress on actions to be taken. Initiates and coordinates the Dynamic Planning (DP) process and forecast of the business line, the creation of content and consolidation of budgets and forecasts. Prepares forecasts and discrepancy analyses with budget and actual and reporting and discussing on these with business unit. Responsible for highlighting opportunities and suggests improvements for the business line. Design and create the management reports necessary to assess and monitor the Customer Lifetime Value and Product Profitability. Prepares cost management reports (e.g. permitted costs and budget/actual reports) per business unit and relays these to the parties concerned. Business partner Uses expertise of business units and the market to advise the responsible management on: the set-up and management of the MTP process and procedures performance (using indicators such as cost and pricing rates, return calculation margins and financial result) the chosen or proposed strategy and derived targets. Explains background and considerations business economic aspects and derived policy (rate policy, funding and interest risks, scenario analysis) developments and trends in actuals and relevant markets nature and set-up of methods, business economic models, techniques and resources. Prepares information to advice on financial and management information analyses deviations and identifies correlation between financial and non-financial data. Develops MA tools, models (incl allocation models), methods and techniques for measuring results and the business economic management of business units. Planning and control Identifies the information requirements of management. Develops management reports. Establishes and manages the reporting process, including the set-up, execution and maintenance procedures or measures. Automation of the reporting process is a priority. Ensures that all Head Office (MASS) reports are completed and submitted in accordance with the ING minimum standards for financial and regulatory reporting. Business Cases l. Draw up detailed project proposals and business plans, and assists management with the review and validation of (financial) assumptions. m. Provides the financial framework in support of the business case and verifies that the model has been applied correctly. Project Define finance requirements related to new/changes to products and ensure that requirements across finance are consolidated and communicated to the business. The associated risks should be identified and due diligence checklist is completed, go-live checklist are properly tracked and executed based on agreed timeline. Prepares UAT test plans and support business during UAT testing. Active participation and contribution to the requirements of Finance Global Transformation Office. Others Provide support to the Finance Change, Accounting and Control by: Assists in month-end closing by preparing month-end accruals and posting adjusting journal entries as required. Perform analysis and test to ensure the financial data is properly booked (e.g. department, GL account) Performs daily reconciliation of finance systems and ensuring that discrepancies are identified and resolved in a timely manner. Supports audit requests by providing account analysis, schedules and supporting documents. Responsible for the implementation of suggestions for improvements for internal business processes. Performs other duties and responsibilities that may be required by the Country Management Competencies/ Qualifications VP or AVP Minimum of 5 years' experience in financial planning in banking, experience with retail products is preferred High level knowledge of financial accounting (IFRS) and local regulatory requirements (BSP, PDIC, SEC & BIR) Experience in leading teams using people management skills Strong communicator in English, both verbal and written Strong risk and control awareness and knowledge of financial control procedures Ability to work collaboratively across functions and geographies Ability to anticipate and lead change, has initiative /with a proactive mindset.
