WHAT THIS POSITION IS ABOUT - PURPOSE:
Manages and lead the maintenance team in the maintenance, repair and improvements activity of both cigarette maker, packer machines and auxiliary equipment to maintain the targeted machine efficiency and finish good standards through execution of predictive and preventive maintenance program. Owns 24/7 Safety, Quality and Efficiency of maintenance activities. Ensures the optimal spare parts inventory required for uninterrupted Make Pack equipment maintenance and operation. Responsible for building team capability through active coaching and definition of training requirements. Participates in key planned activities to role model and coach teams.
WHAT WILL YOU DO - RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintenance Activities - Identify and prioritize resource allocation for planned maintenance, coordinate the activity and ensure maintenance plan is implemented timely as per schedule and within cost budget.
Production Support - Support the production team by involving in major breakdowns troubleshooting as/when it happens. Major breakdowns to be analyzed accordingly and to propose the appropriate preventive action and improvement plan. Involve with production team in waste reduction initiatives and projects. To work with production team to improve other production key performance indicators by actively participating in continuous improvement activities and to give recommendations in projects aimed to improve production process, product quality and machine efficiency.
Maintenance Planning - Participates in regular maintenance planning and scheduling meetings with production planning and production management to agree on available windows of opportunity in the production schedule for maintenance activities to be conducted within the time allocated and in accordance with priorities of the facility to identify windows of opportunities for maintenance.
Training & Development - Assess skills of maintenance personnel against standards and identify deficiencies and to propose the appropriate training and development program to address the skill gap. Plan and coordinate the training programs. Upon training, ensure that the trainee is given the opportunity, on a regular basis to utilize and retain these acquired skills. To follow-up with the on-job trainings and carry out post training evaluation to assess the level/standard of the mechanics and to propose the necessary action plan. Coach and exchange technical knowledge, skills and techniques to new employees, trainees or any other personnel's assigned by supervisor.
Documentations - Plan and control the technical information management by ensuring all maintenance records are kept accurately for analysis, review and continuous improvement initiatives. Engineering Support - Liaise with engineering team (as/when needed) and to support on any modification initiatives or new machine installation activity to ensure work are carried as per the schedule and requirements. Development and performance of procedures in order to improve the efficiency of the equipment in compliance with the requirements for the quality of the finish good
Perform any other tasks commissioned by the line manager. Compliance with EHS procedures, labour law, corporate guidance, internal regulations and work performance instructions.
Understand health and safety aspects of their work and learn about potential hazards, know and maintain required control measures in order to keep their workplace healthy and safe.
Develop their competency to do the work healthy and safely, participate in health and safety training and receive appropriate health and safety knowledge and required qualifications, observe and follow safety signs, posters, warning signals, and written directions and instructions.
Know Legal and JTI health and safety requirements associated with the work hazards and comply with all applicable health and safety rules and procedures.
Always demonstrate safe behavior, report incidents and near misses to their supervisor, report identified unsafe conditions and behaviors to their supervisor and eliminate them within their authority and ability to do so.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR - REQUIREMENTS:
Diploma/Degree in technical or relevant experience in technical field.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in similar capacity in a manufacturing environment.
Specific Experience: Knowledge in cigarette maker/packer process and equipment will be an added advantage.
Good command in English language.
Knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Good knowledge in SAP.
Production staff management, Process management, Project management, Technical training management, Budgeting, 5S3R & Kaizen, Negotiations, Staff motivation
