Mainframe Programmer
Responsibilities:
- Perform production support and maintenance of legacy applications.
- Perform analysis on application and report findings to Team Leader.
- Resolve production problems and issues, part of the on-call rotation.
- Revise, test and implement changes on programs.
- Identify opportunities for enhancement that would drive process improvement into the business.
- Translate business requirements into actionable technical requirements.
- Participate in identifying and recommending project priorities and improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or other relevant fields.
- With at least 2 years of work experience in maintaining legacy application in an MVS environment using Cobol, JCL, DB2, Easytrieve and Cool:gen.
- Must have strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must have a detail oriented with strong analytical skills
- Must work well in a highly collaborative and team-oriented environment.
- Must be flexible to work on graveyard shift.
