The Lubricants Plant Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Lubricants Blending Plant. The role entails planning, close coordination with various stakeholders and directing activities to ensure that goods are produced safely, cost-effectively and on time. The Lubricants Plant Supervisor is also expected to drive continous improvement and optimization of all processes, and ensure that productivity, efficency and workmanship standards are met at all times.
Success in this role will require you to fulfill the following responsibilities:
1. Handles raw material requisition.
a. Prepare Purchase Requisition for equipments (e.g. office supplies, hoses, pumps, etc.)
b. Review reports of production foreman on daily inventory of base stock, chemical additives, in-process blends, and finished products, and coordinates the same with the SUPP department.
c. Coordinate with Supply Planning and Ordering regarding delivery of raw materials and plan for receiving activities and manpower requirement.
d. Coordinate with Finance Department (FINA), Supply (SUPP) and Purchasing Department (PRCH) regarding importation schedules.
2. Ensures that the blending plant and packaging lines are running at maximum efficiency with minimum breakdowns and within planned cost parameters of manpower, materials and preventive maintenance.
a. Prepares Maintenance Work Requests and submits the same to Maintenance and Engineering Department (MAEN).
b. Monitor and assess blending and filling line performance. Ensure that blending activities are efficiently done within the set turnaround time and that filling activities are accurate. Product losses due to equipment malfunction and overfill should be prevented as well as underfills.
c. Prepare procedures and/or work instructions. Targeted outcome must be quantifiable or measurable to identify hits and misses for the continous improvement of processes.
d. Prepare Annual Production Plan based on forecast shared by Marketing Department (MKTG).
e. Conduct quarterly review of Production plan.
f. Collaborate with Distribution and Terminal Operations(DTOS) on production and transfer schedules.
i. Identify areas for improvement in terms of process and design, and coordinate with concerned departments for the implementation.
j. Ensure that processes are carried out properly and in accordance to approved work instructions and procedures.
h. Ensure that all documents are in place and are regularly updated.
k. Ensures that production operators conduct proper inspection of packaged products for proper labeling and packaging before transfer to designated staging areas.
l. Conducts regular toolbox meetings and/or trains staff members on how to properly carry out tasks, avoid or address process and safety issues, minimize losses and improve overall efficiency.
3. Ensures that quality standards are met.
a. Coordinate with Quality Control and Product Development Department (QCPD) regarding product specifications, formulations and product quality requirements.
b. Directs and supervises packaging operations to ensure that finished products conform to quality standards.
c. Supervises and ensures implementation of all quality control procedures to achieve the highest level of product quality.
4. Monitors and reviews the forms necessary for documentation of the department's operations. Safeguards records/files and other documents.
5. Performs other related functions that may be assigned from time to time.
Preferred Qualifications for the Role
Graduate of Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering; or any 4-year course related to business management, engineering or supply chain management
With at least 3-5 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing company (preferably from Oil/Gas Industry)
Supply Chain Certification is an advantage
Willing to be assigned in Mabini, Batangas.
Critical Expertise and Skills: * Proficient in Google applications
Proven work experience as a Plant Supervisor
Knowledge in safety, quality, productivity, inventory and stewardship processes
Adequate knowledge of business management principles such as strategic planning, resource allocations and human resources
Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
Strong communication and presentation skills
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills Well organized and detail-oriented
Possess Effective Leadership Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability as a natural facilitator to enable team-based decisions

Realistic Job Preview:
The Lubricants Plant Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Lubricants Blending Plant six days a week from 8am to 5pm. The role involves planning, close coordination with internal and external stakeholders, and directing activities to ensure that lubricants are produced safely, cost-effectively and on time. The successful candidate is also expected to drive continous improvement and optimization of all processes, and ensure that productivity, efficency and workmanship standards are met at all times.
Expectations from Candidates:
Candidates who are invited for HR screening will need to undergo and pass an online exam and/or technical exam, and accomplish HR documents, personality tests, and essay exams before proceeding to the HR interview.
Candidates who pass the HR interview would then need to submit soft copies of their available pre-employment requirements, such as the Transcript of Records, Diploma, and NBI clearance. The complete list will be provided by the recruiter.
In the event candidates are hired, they would be required to submit hard copies of all the pre-employment requirements and pass the medical exam and background check before onboarding.
