Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
Logistic Specification: write the logistic specification for the project, make sure it is applied by suppliers & Participating Alstom units
International Flow: set up the international flow for the project or improve the current flow (define if logistic platform needed to optimize...)
Warehouse organization: design the project warehouse, and to manage the physical material flow (goods reception, warehousing, inventory management, delivery construction, packaging, shipping)
Manage Warehousing and Logistics activities in line with the project requirements & rules.
Manage inventory accuracy in all warehouses, conducting periodic physical inventory.
Manage the reception, storage, issuance, packaging and external shipment.
Deploy the processes/IT tools for inventory management.
Local Flow from warehouse to Construction: set up the physical & information flows between warehouse & point of use.
Import Procedures: Coordinate shipment status with suppliers, organize, and compile documents required for imports/exports. Follow up for timely clearance of materials from customs.
Custom clearance: Ascertain applicable duties, coordinate with customs/port/airport for processing bill of entry/warehouse goods and freight forwarders/steamer/ container agents in order to ensure timely clearance of material
Transportation: Coordinate with international / local transport & logistic contractors, and organize/arrange material transportation from Vendor's premises/airport/port/warehouse/local vendors to destination and follow-up transportation status in order to ensure timely and safe delivery of material
Lifting Operations: to establish and implement safe work procedures (including risk assessments) for all lifting operations so as to minimize the risk of injury or property damages and in accordance with the country's workplace safety and health regulations. Coordination with crane rental contractors to ensure on-site lifting operations standards and safety are followed.
Ensure that personnel operate in an environment that complies with company Health, Safety and Environmental policies
Develop and provide appropriate training for team members to enable them to improve and achieve their objectives whilst effectively contributing to business performance. Direct reports include:

Storekeepers
Lifting supervisors
Logistic Engineer
Riggers
Requirements:
Graduate in Engineering / Industrial / Business Administration / Supply Chain
Logistics knowledge and experience; SAP knowledge; at least 2 years in management position
Good communication skills; sense of urgency
