The Role
Be part of the Security Bank's data leadership team to deliver strategic and transformational value for our customers and employees through data. Security Bank has established the Data Management Office to govern and manage data to ensure data can be trusted.
The job's goal is to maximize the trustworthiness and usage of data across the business. He/she does this by developing and implementing a metadata and data lineage framework. This framework would include identifying trusted sources and describing the information within in order to make it easier to share, integrate, retrieve, consume, and utilize data. This position would work with the technology team to validate and document data lineage to track provenance and transformation of data throughout critical systems.
How you'll contribute
Develops and owns the metadata framework and data lineage approach for the bank
Develops and owns the enterprise data dictionary
Leads team to perform metadata and lineage activities
Work with executive team to prioritize data domains (eg Finance, Treasury, Risk, etc) to be onboarded to the metadata and data lineage framework
Partner with fellow functional experts (data quality, reference data, master data leads, etc) to align and implement data policies, KPIs and metrics to measure and refine the success of data governance program
Partners with fellow functional experts to support as-needed data related areas of data quality, issue management, and remediation efforts.
Acts as the overall evangelist for metadata and data lineage to the business and technology to ensure sources are identified, described, mapped, and tracked throughout data lifecycle.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or any related field.
At least 5 and up years of experience
More than 3 years of experience in data governance specifically metadata and lineage
Must have technical experience on database systems and understands how data flows
Must have banking experience
Solid communication, presentation and social skills, especially the ability to explain complex concepts to laymen
