Job Description:
 
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food and committed to providing high-quality dishes to our customers. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items while ensuring that all food safety and sanitation standards are maintained.
 
Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation:
Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring ingredients according to recipes.
Follow recipes and presentation specifications to ensure consistency in quality and taste.
Cooking:
Cook menu items according to established recipes and techniques, ensuring food is prepared in a timely manner.
Operate cooking equipment such as grills, ovens, fryers, and stovetops safely and efficiently.
Quality Control:
Monitor food presentation and quality before it is served to customers.
Taste dishes to ensure flavor and seasoning meet restaurant standards.
Kitchen Maintenance:
Maintain a clean and organized workspace throughout the shift, adhering to health and safety standards.
Assist in cleaning kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas as needed.
Collaboration:
Work closely with other kitchen staff to coordinate meal timing and plating.
Communicate effectively with the kitchen team to ensure a smooth workflow during service.
Inventory Management:
Assist in the inventory and stock management to ensure that all necessary ingredients are available.
Report any shortages or equipment malfunctions to the kitchen manager.
Qualification:
Previous experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role preferred.
Knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus, but not required.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy pots/pans (up to 50 lbs).
Ability to work in a hot, busy kitchen environment.
Working Hours:
Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Experience:
2+ years experience, On-the-job training will be schedule prior to starting

Qualification:
 
If you're the right person for this position, you must be TOUGH, CURIOUS, DRIVEN & have PRIDE in your work with at least one (2) year experience in banquet operations and high volume food production as head chef.
