Job Description:
o Preparing various types of food indicated on
daily production lists in a speedy and
accurate manner
o Creating consistent dishes and follow co-op
recipes
o Aiding in the improvement and development of
existing and new recipes and meal plans
o Assisting Head Cook with planning inventory
and acquiring of goods
o Determining volume of stock to be purchased
o Notifying Head Cook in advance of likely
shortages Alert management about low stock
of basic ingredients and supplies
o Assisting with dishwashing and daily cleaning
tasks as assigned
o Recording all kitchen losses and production
in the assigned place
o Evaluating current suppliers and sourcing of
new suppliers to ensure the most
cost-effective operations
o Working in a safe manner, following safety
rules and procedures while constantly use
safe and hygienic food handling practices
o Setting up and managing of working stations
to ensure orderliness and cleanliness of area.
o Assisting with all duties as assigned by the
Head Cook
Requirements:
o Must not be older than 45 years old
o Preferably college graduate
o Must have experience working in a food
commissary or volume catering/food production
o Must be knowledgeable on Continental and
Asian cuisine
