*The Company Lawyer or Legal Counsel new hire is expected to work from home for the mean time due to COVID. Once everything is back to normal, the Company Lawyer or Legal Counsel new hires will be expected to report in either our IT Park or JY offices in Cebu.
General Description: The Company Lawyer or Legal Counsel delivers legal services and counsel for the company. The Company Lawyer or Legal Counsel manages risks and ensures compliance.
Location: 8th floor Skyrise 4B Building, IT Park, Lahug, Cebu City, Cebu
Responsibilities:
Stay updated of legal developments affecting MedSpecialized, its clients and industries and synthesize the information to incorporate it into company's transactional practices
Strategize with MedSpecialized executives regarding legal issues that affect the company
Develop in-depth subject matter expertise in legal to benefit the business
Resolve issues and disputes, minimize potential for litigation and foster protection of MedSpecialized's reputation
Counsel, advise and educate company employees regarding legal and risk management issues, representing MedSpecialized and its interests
Develop/support internal guidelines, toolkits, and packaged knowledge on various legal and business issues
Requirements:
Possess a professional license in Law
A member of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines
At least 1 year of legal work experience which may include corporate law, civil and criminal litigation
Willing to work on holidays, weekends, shifting schedules and extended working hours
