You will work on a team interacting with customers and end users - affordable housing property owners and residents/applicants. Your primary role will be to manage the inbound and outbound communication with residents regarding their application and manage application information for the team's recertification. You will be the front line for the residents and this role is critical!There may be other items that come up as you speak with residents, where you will need to answer questions about the affordable housing process or the client's platform, work with local housing authority software to update applicant information along with other reporting tasks. This role is progressive - team members start by interacting with customer,s learning the basics of affordable housing will work overtime to help to complete pieces of the application process and eventually own and manage the entire renter journey.Key Responsibilities:
Manage inbound and outbound phone communication with renters, at times following up via email and text
Enter application information in property management systems, learning compliance for each market along the way
Respond to resident/applicant inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally
Using client proprietary platform, request and review resident/applicant documents for household composition, income, and assets to determine eligibility for affordable housing
Create summary documentation needed to complete applications
Send eligible and ineligible letters to applicants
Contact applicants to collect updated or missing documents as needed
Update housing authority websites with client information
Prepare affordable housing certifications for manager's review
Create process documentation that will help onboard additional team members - we are growing quickly!
Document user experience feedback to share with our product and engineering teams
Other tasks - this is a start-up; you will be asked to jump into many tasks way outside your job description!Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications
Entry level - 1+ years of experience
Growth Mindset / Positive Can-do Attitude
Detail Oriented
Ability to read and write English very well
Preferred Qualifications
Experience or internships with customer management
Knowledge of affordable housing programs
Interest in technology and ability to quickly learn new software
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
