Lead Financial Analyst The Lead Financial Analyst, FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis), is responsible for providing direct support to the Worldwide Renewals organization, being a key financial partner and adding value to the business. This position has solid line reporting to the Manager, FP&A. The individual will be a financial advisor and act as a key interface with cross functional teams. The position requires an individual with a high degree of autonomy, a broad understanding of business and finance. Strong communication skills and the ability to prioritize input from multiple sources are a must.You Are Great At:
Leading, coaching, and providing feedback to the New Contract Value (NCV) Review team.
Ensuring a timely and accurate review of NCV deals and adherence to internal controls.
Serving as a Subject Matter Expert for calculating deal values.
Developing revenue estimates, operating plans / forecasts / reviews, OP (operating plan/budget) and/or corporate reporting.
Providing monthly/quarterly financial closing/estimates and communicating current financial results and estimates to functional leaders.
Liaising with various organizations, including Legal, Accounting, Billing, HR.
Building relationships with leaders to build an improved process for consolidation of estimates and actual financial analysis and metrics.
Partnering with function leaders to create long range plans and short range forecasts, understanding / evaluating key function drivers; supporting Sales, Professional Services and the Controllership organizations.
Understanding and explaining variance drivers within the business unit.
Identifying risks & opportunities during each quarter and working with functional leads to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
Fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
What It Takes:
Experience working with Senior Management.
Minimum of 5+ years of relevant work experience in Finance/Accounting.
Postgraduate finance experience is an advantage.
Experience in working with people across multiple geographies.
High tech, Internet or Computer Industry experience (preferred).
Strong analytical skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and minimize financial risks.
Proven capability in financial and accounting procedures, such as budgets, or P&L statements.
Self-starter, working under minimal supervision with cross functional teams to drive stated goals.
Expert skills in using tools necessary to build dynamic modeling.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels within company.
Experience with financial systems/applications (i.e.: SAP, OLAP, Business Objects, Analysis for Office, other data extraction tools), proficiency in Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation, including pivot tables, lookup functions and macros.
Previous experience in reporting using platforms such as Salesforce.com is an asset.
Working knowledge of SQL, Power Query, or working with data models is an asset.
Ability to prioritize multiple deliverables and execute tasks with short lead times.
