The Esports Services group at Logitech organizes, produces and broadcasts live online esport events on behalf of internal Logitech brands as well as external clients. The role works with Beyond Entertainment which represents the remote tournament operations, production and live broadcast component based in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Beyond is a best-in-class turn-key esports operations service specializing in remote competitions and live broadcast production. Since our inception in 2012, Beyond has executed hundreds of gaming competitions and has produced over 500+ live broadcasts for both internal and external clients.
The Role:
The Beyond team is looking for a motivated lead developer to join our group and spearhead building and managing a talented team to execute DevOps, QA, Data Optimization & new feature building initiatives. The ideal candidate has a well-rounded skill set, with experience in best practices, building & leading a web development team through deadline based projects, as well as a strong knowledge of the gaming and esports industry. This role will require architecting guidelines that scale efficiencies throughout the development process.
Responsibilities:
In this role you will:
Collaborate with multiple teams to complete development projects based on internal feedback or client needs.
Planning and documenting technical requirements for new features and functionality.
Building out a talented team of web developers / core team members.
Directing the development team (internal or external agency) in design, development, coding, testing and quality assurance of new features.
Day to day monitoring and administration.
Managing Github & test environments.
Bug Fixing and Quality Assurance.
Optimization of data in existing systems.
Database, application and server infrastructure scaling.
Hardening our applications and security reviews.
Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and standards.
Establish and iterate on backup/disaster standards.
Keep up in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and tight deadlines.
Requirements:
For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and behaviors to our team:
3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role (experience in the esports/gaming industry is preferred).
Passion for video games and esports.
Excellent written oral and communication skills.
Excellent Project Management skills.
3-5 years of Full Stack Development experience.
Establish industry standard processes for development, testing and deploying to production environments.
Experience implementing automated acceptance testing.
Extensive knowledge of Amazon AWS configuration.
Excellent knowledge of Kubernetes Environments.
Strong Knowledge of
Redis
NoSQL DB's
Javascript
React
Github
Experience implementing API's and other technologies into existing codebases.
Existing API integration review, management, and upkeep.
Familiarity with implementing security monitoring web tools.
Comfortable reviewing and working in existing codebases.
Education:
4 Year College Degree, BA or BS from accredited university/college or equivalent experience.
