About The Company
Baton is on a mission to enable entrepreneurs to be better managers and leaders through best-in-class operations management tooling. We are on track for a January 1, 2021 launch and will have a complete low-fidelity prototype by the end of October.
Start up founders are told insistently that they need to "do things that don't scale" in order to get their product to market successfully, but what happens when they get there?
-Their codebases are undocumented, not under version control nor covered by tests, and are 'hacked together,'
-Their operations processes are scattered and inconsistent,
-Their customers operations are a constant explosive crisis, and churn threats are a daily struggle, and
-Their product and design decisions are ungrounded and incorrectly prioritized, forcing engineering to collect product killing bugs in backlog in order to push out non-core features like "dark mode"
Baton is the anti-startup. We have 3 years of runway and we aren't afraid to use it. We don't need Venture Capital so we don't have investor pressure. We view every 60 hour week as a failure, instead of something to encourage. And we focus on doing our work the Right Way, instead of the expedient way.

The Opportunity
Youll jump-start your career with us by taking ownership of these key responsibilities:
-Lead and drive delivery: This is a hands-on role where you will be working closely with our CEO and product development team to develop, test and deploy dynamic web-based solutions that are scalable and comply with security and privacy and regulations.
-You should be capable of setting clear guidelines for unit test & browser test, to reduce the frequency of bug fixing.
-You should be able to conduct effective peer code reviews & establish a codebase for the organization.
-You should have prior experience in CI/CD & know how to build a parallel automated testing system for effective testing & deployment.
-Groom and lead high-performance development teams ( you will also play an integral role in the hiring and firing process & creating processes that will promote a culture of innovation and growth!)
-You should know how to organize our development resources effectively to meet the projects deadlines ( this includes understanding the velocity of the development team & how to maintain the velocity).
-You should be able offer technical expertise throughout the entire SDLC, including mentoring & guiding the development team.
-You should know what to look out for during the hiring process, together with red flags associated with poor conduct & performance.
-In the first line of your application, copy and paste "I hate Laravel"
-Define the technical vision and engineering roadmap for the organization, including charting short-term milestones and long-term goals and strategies ( you will be placed in the drivers seat where you can leverage on the power of technology to entrepreneurs to build out their processes, better and faster!)
