The Role
As a Lead Developer (Java), you will play key developer and software architect roles.
How you'll contribute
Write high quality and testable code following clean code and SOLID design principles.
Conduct code reviews.
Create design, technical and project documentation.
Plan and schedule own work for tasks and projects, also implement functionality without direct supervision.
Perform profiling and troubleshooting of existing solutions.
Coordinate application deployment.
Follow and understand the defined software development process.
Participate in workshops and presentations of proposed solutions to clients.
Assist team members in providing technical solutions.
Work independently while in close collaboration with others in the team and across projects.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related majors.
At least 5 years of solid experience in software engineering and development using Java, including UML, Modeling, and Design skills.
Has advanced knowledge of Core Java, Spring.
Well-versed in Hibernate, Webservices, and Restful services.
Experienced in designing high-quality solutions using OOP, TDD/BDD, Design Patterns, and SOLID principles.
Has good working knowledge of Linux, source code control tools (e.g., GIT, SVN).
Has a background in CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, SonarQube).
Equipped with an understanding of code quality measurements and able to implement efficient Unit Tests.
Experienced in relational database technologies e.g., SQL Server, Oracle.
Has an in-depth understanding of different phases of the software development lifecycle and understanding of Agile Scrum processes.
Experience in Spring Could, Microservices is highly preferred.
Experience in Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
Expert in debugging Java and optimizing application performance.
Familiar with at least one unit testing framework, such as Junit or TestNG.
Experienced in DevOps operation, improving the project's process, frontend technologies (e.g., JavaScript, React), and architecture design.
Ability to evaluate various development methodologies SCRUM, Kanban, Waterfall based on the project requirement
Working experience in a global environment where colleagues, stakeholders, and onsite client teams are based in different locations, be able to cope with cultural and time zone differences.
Must have experience in mentoring junior developers with less related experience on the project(s) likewise conduct training or technical technology talks in the area of expertise.
Good interpersonal skills, analytical mind, get things done attitude, and passion for engineering excellence.
Willing to work in Makati.
