Job Description
The Lead Accountant of Expertise BPO Services Manila Inc. (EBSMI) Finance Team holds a key role in leading the team to efficient operations and quality work output. Lead Accountant demonstrates technical expertise of processes which he/she will use in reviewing the work of Finance Team Members from both Manila and Iloilo. It is expected that he/she will be able to coach where knowledge gaps are identified. He/She must carry on the marks of Excellence, Teamwork and Well-being as this role is highly exposed to multi-tasking and quality review work.
Responsibilities:
1. Reviews the work of Accounting Officers and AR & Billing Specialists in respect to General accounting, Billing and Reporting tasks
2. Tracks and reports results of reviews done to Finance Manager
3. Initial point of team escalation in terms of technical/operational issues. Be able to resolve any technical/operational issues through quick analysis and decision making.
4. Coach or train team mates when there are knowledge gaps
5. Escalate matters to Finance Controller where appropriate and recommend points of action or resolutions
6. Displays accountability to have EBSMI 100% compliant with all LGUs; works with Finance Controller, Director of Finance and Philippines Managing Director on resolving compliance issues with his/her correct understanding of processes and give sound recommendations
7. Task management in case of team member absence
8. Works closely with Finance Controller or Director of Finance in meeting timelines for reporting requirements
9. Suggests and implements Process Improvement Initiatives
10. Takes on other related tasks as directed by the Finance Controller, as needed
Qualifications:
CPA preferred but no required with 8 years qualified
Excellent English Communications skills, both verbal and written
Experience in local LGU compliance such as BIR, SEC, etc.
Experience managing people and processes (unassisted)
Strong planning and organizing skills, able to work through tasks with multiple deadlines
Demonstrates effective review and coaching skills
Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced environment, deadline and quality-oriented
High degree of proficiency in MS Excel is important
Knowledge in Quickbooks, preferred but not required
Willing to work the graveyard shift at 8 pm to 5 am and will adjust to 7 pm to 4 am during DST
Willing to report onsite in our office in BGC, Taguig
