The Opportunity:
The Lead Accountant for Quality Standards will lead, facilitate, and drive methodological quality checking and risk management. The role is a dedicated Quality Specialist that 1) manage quality standard framework 2) monitor effectiveness checks in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, company policies and procedures 3) monitor internal controls are followed in compliance with SOX initiatives. This role can also be called upon to participate on special projects throughout the year.
You are great at:
Establish, implement, and manage quality standard framework and support process improvement initiatives to ensure quality measures are aligned with overall business objectives.
Performs financial control testing, providing independent assessment of control design and operating effectiveness with key observation or recommendation.
Ensures that any deficiencies are appropriately documented and tracked detailing the root cause, deep dive reviews performed along with clear plan of remediation.
Responsible for quality checking of GSSC various accounting tasks including SOX related tools and IT application controls impacting GSSC SOX controls Information Produced by the Entity (IPE).
Ensuring compliance with Opentext branding in all reports and documentation.
Perform quality review on RTR processes to achieve desired quality output.
