KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reports to work promptly in a neat and complete uniform.
Ensure that he is well groomed as per standard of the resort.
Register his attendance by using the "Mizzisoft" beside the Laundry office.
Report to the Housekeeping Department and get the occupancy rate for the day and ask for any special instruction with regard to linen and guest item requirements.
Receive all soiled linens and soiled guest items from the Linen Attendant/Line Leaders.
Ensure that there is a laundry list for all guest items.
Switch on the washing machine and the dryer.
Conduct flushing to get rid of any rust particles that may have accumulated overnight.
Sort linens according to fiber, color, and soiled condition.
Check if there is enough chemical to be used in washing.
Load the washing machine according to its capacity.
Clean the lint compartment of the dryer.
Clean the basket inside the dryer by wiping it with a clean wet cloth.
Load the dryer according to its capacity.
Sort guest items according to fiber, color and soiled condition.
Check and inspect each guest items individually, take note of any damage/tear, check zipper and buttons, turn pocket inside out to ensure that there are no valuables left by the guest.
Report immediately to Team Leader or Supervisor on duty any valuables found in guest items and surrender these to Security Lost and Found.
Check and read the laundry care label for proper handling of guest items.
Conduct a color bleeding test for any dark colored guest items
QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS:
Relevant experience as a laundry attendant in the Hotel industry is an advantage.
At least one year of experience in Laundry operations.
Willing to work on extended hours
Willing to work in rotating shifts
Must have schedule flexibility for AM/PM/OVERNIGHT shifts, weekends, and holidays.
WORK SCHEDULE: Shifting Schedule (Morning, Mid, GY) - 1 day off
