JOB SUMMARY
The Lab Technician role will support the Learning Services training delivery team with the creation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and deployment of Avid's training environments. This role will support customer facing environments used for hands-on labs, spread globally both on premise and in the cloud.
There is also scope within the role to assist in developing an automated training ecosystem to deliver a superior hands-on customer experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Collaborate with Avid's Technical Trainers to build, test and deploy virtual lab environments both on-prem and in the cloud
Work with peers to support and maintain current on premises and cloud-based lab deployments used for customer facing training.
Troubleshoot training environments across multiple systems to resolve issues
Assist in delivering metrics on the usage of labs and deployments
Document lab environment processes and procedures.
Assist in developing integrations between training systems within the training ecosystem
Work cross functionally to gain best practices and processes for successful customer experiences.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Technical experience using Linux and Windows based OS's.
Good knowledge of routed networks, network security, virtual machines and cloud-based technologies (VMware, Azure, AWS).
Experience with deployment tools (Ansible, Chef, Terraform) whilst not required would be useful.
Programming skills would be advantageous (PowerShell, JSON, HTML, JavaScript,)
Strong organization, written and verbal communication skills.
Must be a team player, but able to work independently on projects
