Job Description
We are looking for experienced Lead Teachers to work with Kindergarten classes, face to face, for school year 2023-2024
The ideal candidate is someone who:

A day in the life of a Lead Teacher:
Preparing daily plans that follow age-appropriate Curriculum and Developmental Guidelines. This consists of the set-up for the different areas, the materials to be uses, assessment materials, individualized student paths, and indirect and direct learning and play experiences.
Organizing various scaffolded inquiry activities such as Discovery quests, Exploratory missions that will help students master skills and content
Meeting and greeting the students for the day. This could include managing emotions and redirecting focus for the planned learning experience.
Leading routine procedures such as washing hands, roll call, and the quest for the day.
Supervising and supporting station-by-station play.
Helping students integrate with one another and interact in groups, whether they're working on curriculum, completing tasks, or during play activities.
Identifying emotional problems and addressing them with the child's parents or guardians during parent-teacher conferences or other appropriate sessions.
Attending staff meetings and collaborating with colleagues to plan to prepare curricular learning experiences and discuss student progress.
Supervising teaching assistants and volunteers following school procedures and guidelines
Assessing student performance and academic and behavioral outcomes. Keeping narrative student records and providing parents or guardians with timely progress reports.
Administering tests and formal assessments; evaluating students' grade-level performance following school and DepEd. Standards; meeting with parents to discuss performance.
Executing and planning based on insights from data and research to drive outcomes.
Other duties as needed.
Passionate about working with Kindergarten age children (5&6)
Open to new ideas with regard to curriculum design, teaching and learning
Bachelor or Masters of Elementary Education with a focus on Early Childhood Education
Will accept fresh graduates, but 3 to 5 years experience in a lead teacher capacity for Kindergarten is a plus
Experience in creating developmentally appropriate curriculum;
Able to work in a highly collaborative environment;
Kind, fun-loving, strong work ethic, open to feedback
Entry Level / Junior, Apprentice Education and Training Primary / Secondary Education 1 opening Bachelor's degree graduate
SparkleLAB is a research and development space where new models for teaching and learning, student engagement and achievement are developed, implemented and assessed.SparkleLAB is comprised of an interdisciplinary team of artists, designers, technologists and educators who are passionate about working with young people and who firmly believe in a fun-filled, play-based approach to learning.SparkleLAB utilizes cutting edge technologies across a variety of learning domains so young people can learn by doing, develop 21st century skills and develop projects of impact.SparkleLAB's portfolio includes afterschool enrichment and summer programs in the areas of science, technology, mathematics, engineering and the arts. The lab has also developed educational resources such as games, animations and educator smart tools and professional development modules in the areas of design thinking, systems thinking and creative learning. At present, SparkleLAB is transitioning to formal education: using its methods to reimagine what learning in a school setting can look like. SparkleLAB will be opening its school, The Discovery Academy of Innovation, starting at the preschool and kindergarten levels this 2020.
