The Key Account Manager is responsible for providing support to the assigned marketplace accounts under the Key Accounts (KA) Team. Managers under KA are expected to monitor the marketplace accounts' overall performance and operational health to ensu The Key Account Manager is responsible for providing support to the assigned marketplace accounts under the Key Accounts (KA) Team. Managers under KA are expected to monitor the marketplace accounts' overall performance and operational health to ensure that the desired contractual and commercial KPIs are met. This role will serve as a high-level escalation point for associates in handling and resolving more complex issues or concerns. In addition, managers are expected to closely monitor the team's required output, compliance to regulations and work instructions. In building a high-functioning team, managers must also conduct regular performance reviews and provide recommendations to improve employee morale and productivity. Main Duties Has overall responsibility for maintaining strong business relationships and ensuring optimal performance of the assigned marketplace accounts and sub shippers. Manages, develops, and maintains business relationships with existing and potential clients. Builds and establishes a strong relationship and develops a rapport with the client, provides support, and acts as a link between the client and Ninja Van. Works closely with internal departments and stakeholders to resolve any operational issues for the client. Maintains regular alignments with all marketplace accounts and sub shippers in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction Monitors and ensures that Ninja Van is providing highest efficiency and productivity across the parcel journey. Issue Resolution through Ninja Van's internal programs such as Fantastic Service Recovery. Acts as firefighters, first on the scene and quick to respond to any possible issue. Must be able to provide sustainable, effective, and swift resolutions to raised issues or complaints . Prepares checklists to be used for project planning, inventory of commercial or operational requirements, creating timelines that result to the successful implementation or roll out . Identifies commercial or operational needs of the customer and providing sound recommendations or solutions. Have a good grasp and knowledge of the local market and competition to react swiftly to changing market conditions. Provide timely and responsive feedback to management on sales performance, market insights, and any issues from first contact with clients to full onboarding of clients. Communicates significant trends and patterns, rate changes, and policies to assigned accounts. Competitive and industrial trends Builds a good understanding of target customers and assigned account base. Account Analysis and Reporting Develop and build regular data and performance reports for clients. Monitor and report performance and service standards for assigned clients. Process Improvement Identify process gaps within the departments and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Ensures that all discussions i.e. agreements and complaints made between clients and company are properly documented and cascaded to concerned teams. Ensures customer relationship management tools and other business tools are updated on time. Develop and coach team members to keep them motivated and provide optimal performance and productivity. Learn and share best practices within areas of responsibility Be responsible for ad-hoc projects both internal as well as those undertaken together with general accounts and clients. Other tasks that may be assigned by the Head of Key Accounts.
