The Junior Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for developing, maintaining and executing test scripts for desktop, website and mobile testing. The position also requires you to analyze test results, identify and thoroughly document Jira bugs , create and update user manuals as well as work closely with the QA lead and project team members to coordinate with projects issues or assist with questions on how to use a particular product. If needed, the position will also do automation testing and developer tasks. The Junior Quality Assurance Engineer contributes to the successful launch of a product, alongside the developers. This role also includes providing suggestions on how to improve a product/program. In addition, this role deals with risk management. If the Jr QA Engineer encounters any issues or roadblocks, it should be coordinated with the QA lead so that risks are identified and plans are created with other project team members to mitigate said risks.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Define Testing Standards and Strategies, and Metrics
Ensure that the product to be released is up to industry and company standards
Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test cases
Develop, Update and execute test cases/test scripts
Apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
Identify and Manage Risk, Implement Process Improvement
Suggest improvements to identified product problems
Carry out detailed regression testing after bugs have been resolved
Build Continual Service Improvement
Provide best-in-class service to HYBrain's clients and to company
Contribute to team and corporate projects and initiatives to promote continuous improvement
Participate actively in discussions aimed to improve products and services
Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
Qualities and Skills required
Able to demonstrate the ability to undertake the above responsibilities
Knowledge and experience using programming languages and technical skills such as the following: Jira,, Jenkins, Selenium, Github, Slack, BrowserStack, Postman, Robot Framework, Python, JavaScript, REST API, JSON, SQL, JMeter
