ABS-CBN Corporation is the Philippines' leading information and entertainment multimedia conglomerate. The Company is primarily involved in television and radio broadcasting, as well as in the production of television and radio programming for domestic and international audiences and other related businesses. ABS-CBN produces a wide variety of engaging, world-class entertainment programs that are aired on free-to-air television.
The Company is also one of the leading radio broadcasters, operating eighteen radio stations throughout the key cities of the Philippines. ABS-CBN provides news and entertainment programming for nine channels on cable TV and operates the country's largest cable TV service provider. The Company also owns the leading-cinema and music production and distribution outfits in the country. It brings its content to worldwide audiences via cable, satellite, online and mobile.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Legal Counsel handles a lot of functions and duties which include the following: * Implements legal proceedings that can affect the rights and obligations of the organization.
Reviews and evaluated legal documents such as contracts, license, sales, real estate and a lot more.
Applies for registration of certain products, services and trademarks of the organization.
Gathers and collects data to be used as evidence and for decision making.
Examines the legal information gathered and evaluates whether they prosecute or defend it.
Conducts pre-trial procedures to defend the organization if they are facing any law cases.
Examines advertisements and any documents for legal implications.
Performs trial and advisory jobs.
Represents the organization in front of any administrative agencies of the National government.
Discusses with other law counsel to establish and verify groundwork needed for legal counseling.
They advise the officials on any government policies, tax laws and other legal issues.
Prepares business contracts, settles taxes related issues and handles legal matters.
Provides legal advice to management for any transactions including internal affairs and corporate relationship.
REQUIREMENTS
SKILLS
Legal counsel must be confident, reliable, responsible, and trustworthy. These professionals often deal with confidential legal documents that hold sensitive financial and business information. In addition, legal counsel should be detail oriented, analyticalmand creative as they are required to examine and solve a variety of different legal problems using extensive research and logic. He/she/they should possess excellent writing, oral and interpersonal communication skills. He/she/they should be comfortable presenting in front of small and large groups.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bar passer and have an experience in private law firms or legal experience for at least 5 years. They need to have a comprehensive knowledge on legal matters from employment, property, governance and business matters.
