Role Description We are looking for a creative and inspired Junior Architect to handle project ideation and design, which will work directly with the Business Development and Technical Operations Team. The responsibilities include client communication and coordination, developing and presenting design proposals, preparing drawings, specifications, assist in cost estimation, construction documents, and coordinate with project teams. You should be able to take ownership of your project, be it the design and construction of a new building, an extension, alterations or a restoration project, and deliver on the client's requirements. To be successful in this position you should be able to visualize space in three dimensions, have a good understanding of construction technologies, and be an effective project coordinator. Must have strong interpersonal skills, demonstrate superior technical design skills and be able to create designs that are functional, creative, and sustainable. Responsibilities Create detailed plans for the construction project Present drawings and plans for approval Perform feasibility reports and ensure the building is in compliance with local rules and regulations. Compile needed blueprints, specifications, and construction reports Study the environmental impacts of the construction process and work to mitigate any environmental risks Aide in the creation of a schedule and budget for the project Work closely with construction managers and workers to ensure the project is completed on time and according to the specified design Qualifications Degree in architecture or a related field Previous experience as an Architect preferred Excellent technical drawing skills Must be a keen listener that is able to identify the needs of a project Strong communication and project management skills Knowledge of Microsoft Office and software programs such as AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, Newforma, etc. Good interpersonal and presentation skills Knowledge of building codes and regulatory standards Strong creative and visualization skills Must be a strong team player
