We are looking for a Junior Architect who will mainly be responsible with quotations and estimates for construction projects. You will be working with a fabrication company based in the United States. This means that work hours will be from 12mn to 9am from Tuesday to Saturday.
Responsibilities include:
Compile data for architectural plans, specifications, cost estimates, reports, etc.
Collaborate in conducting preliminary studies of proposed projects to obtain information as to space and design requirements, obtaining measurements and making sketches preliminary to the preparation of drawing.
Help with the preparation of scale drawing of details required for contract drawing.
Help with the preparation of "record" drawings on completion of construction.
Prepare the layout and draw a preliminary sketch of the project to present to the client.
Assist in developing and/or coordinating development of detailed working drawings and specifications after approval for the project has been obtained.
Review shop drawings, specifications, cost estimates and construction material recommendations submitted by outside architects and contractors to ensure adherence to contract and notify the Architect of discrepancies.
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
Knowledge of architecture and architectural principles and techniques.
Knowledge of types of building materials and construction methods.
Knowledge of the methods and techniques of CAD design
Knowledge of structural, mechanical relating to building costs.
Skill in drafting architectural plans.
Minimum qualifications:
Graduate of Bachelor's degree in Architecture or any related field
Demonstrated proficiency in Revit
1 year professional experience in an Architecture or construction firm
Experience in producing construction documents is desired
