Job Summary:
A Los Angeles-based audit and business consultancy firm is looking for Accountants for its offshoring branch in the Philippines.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform accounting and bookkeeping functions for the Firm in accordance with the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Perform certain stages of the accounting work including bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reporting.
Ensure timely delivery of financial/management reports.
Keep organized records of financial transactions.
Make recommendations for purposes of improving internal controls, operating policies and procedures.
Maintain awareness and understanding of developments in accounting field and in client industries.
Become familiar with the firm's policies and procedures and apply as appropriate.
Assist in the day-to-day activities of the Accounting Department.
Assist in special projects as needed that falls within the scope of capabilities.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Must have a clear understanding of financial reporting standards
Good oral and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Highly Analytical
Project management skills
Proficient in MS Excel, Word
Team Player
Accounting System experience is preferred but not required
