Job Description
Responsibilities:
VAT Returns:
Assist in the preparation and submission of accurate VAT returns.
Ensure all transactions are correctly classified and recorded in line with applicable VAT regulations.
Liaise with relevant departments to gather required documentation and information.
Financial Accounts:
Aid in the preparation of annual financial statements.
Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
Management Accounts:
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, or yearly management accounts.
Collaborate with various departments to collate and analyze financial data, ensuring its accuracy and relevance.
Corporation Tax Returns:
Support the preparation and submission of corporation tax returns.
Stay updated on relevant tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
Bookkeeping:
Provide ad hoc assistance with client bookkeeping as required.
Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
General Assistance:
Willingly get involved in various tasks and projects as they arise.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth financial operations.
Recommend improvements to existing accounting processes and procedures.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proven experience in an accounting role is preferred.
3-5 years experience
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
