As a Junior Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the finance department by assisting in various accounting and financial tasks. Key Responsibilities:
General Ledger Maintenance:
Assist in maintaining and reconciling the general ledger accounts.
Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
Accounts Payable:
Process vendor invoices, verifying accuracy and proper authorization.
Prepare and process payments, ensuring compliance with payment terms.
Accounts Receivable:
Support in invoicing clients and maintaining accounts receivable records.
Follow up on overdue payments and address customer inquiries.
Bank Reconciliations:
Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies.
Monitor and record all banking transactions.
Expense Reports:
Review and process employee expense reports.
Verify receipts and adherence to expense policies.
Financial Reporting:
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
Contribute to month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Assistance in Audits:
Provide support during internal and external audits.
Ensure all necessary documentation is readily available.
Compliance:
Stay informed about relevant accounting standards and regulatory changes.
Assist in ensuring compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
Financial Analysis:
Support in financial analysis by preparing reports and variance analyses.
Assist in identifying trends and making recommendations for improvements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
