Turn's headquarters is based in San Francisco, California. The company management and staff are based throughout the US as our operations and logistics occur in the field at our customer locations (e.g. Quick Serve food and beverage chain stores, stadium and event venues) and entail detailed logistics.
Job Summary:
The Junior Accountant is responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks and financial activities within the organization. This role will reconcile monthly credit card, bank statements, and reimbursements.
Responsibilities:
The accountant will report to the Finance Manager, who is based in the US
Manage accounts payable - coding and entering invoices, managing the payables register, resolve issues, support payments process
Reconcile monthly credit card, bank statements, and reimbursements
Oversee new employee onboarding to financial tools (e.g. employment tax documents, payroll set-up, expense report setup, etc.)
Manage and run bi-weekly payroll, reviewing for discrepancies and overtime
Support finance management on customer revenue invoicing process-- our work is project based, so invoicing has non-standard line items and pricing that requires collaborating with sales and operations to obtain the data
Prepare journal entries for month end close (e.g. prepaid expenses and operating expense accruals, payroll cutoff)
Create month end spending reports and distribute to dept heads
Manage documents and journal entry backup in accounting shared drives
Support the finance manager with other projects or special assignments when requested
Requirements
Bachelor's or Associate degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field
PA or CA is a plus, but not required
Previous experience in the Beverage and Food, Hospitality or Events industry (Preferred)
3+ years of accounting or finance experience
Results-driven personality
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Exceptional time management and ability to problem solve under pressure
Strong oral and written communication skills
Must have Fiber Optic internet with at least 25 Mbps bandwidth
Must have a backup desktop or laptop with the latest OS
Must be able to work from 12AM-9AM
