Job Description
Your team
We are looking for a committed and competent DevOps Engineer who will join our Innovation Division - Engage and can work with an international team operating from Manila and Switzerland.
You will work closely with technology vendors, infrastructure providers and the software development division to provide world class services. You will continuously work on technical and process improvements, keeping both incremental and disruptive options in mind.
We strive to enable financial institutions to focus on customer experience and creating differentiating digital services rather than managing technology complexity by providing:
Go-live ready solutions helping financial institutions to easily adopt and use our Avaloq products within a wide ecosystem.
A SaaS delivery model delegating the majority of the technology complexity to us
Self-service capabilities for our ecosystem of FinTech's and bank IT departments looking to easily configure and extend our standard functional offering building blocks
Your mission:
Closely collaborate with the Product Owner, Business Analysts and other Software Engineers
Design, develop and maintain thought-out solutions within the team's responsibility
Improve and optimize existing functionalities
Develop and maintain automated tests
Take ownership and responsibility for your area of expertise
Qualifications
What you need:
Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
Fluent in English
In-depth knowledge in software engineering practices (clean code and design, test-driven development)
Experience in Java and Spring Boot (and other Spring projects)
Good knowledge of database technologies and SQL. PL/SQL experience is a plus
Interested in working with Gradle, Jenkins, Kubernetes/OpenShift, prior experience is a plus
Eager to learn and understand the business needs to provide the best solutions for our business domain(s)
Team oriented, willing to contribute and help other team members in order to successfully achieve team goals
Welcomes the interaction with clients
You will get extra points for the following:
Knowledge / experience in Kubernetes / Docker (Openshift)
