As an application engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, testing and maintenance of the platforms that power our Home Loans business. You will also help deliver enterprise-grade cloud solutions to help our business operate more efficiently and adapt to changing needs. You and your team will coordinate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate that information into technical specifications. You will ensure adherence to established technology standards by performing code and security reviews, automated unit and integration testing, and implementing agile and DevOps best practices. Beyond the day-to-day, you will be expected to continuously hone your skills and stay abreast of new technologies and practices. To be successful in this role you are or will need to have: Solid communication skills, able to articulate your thoughts to any audience Proficiency in Enterprise JAVA, JAVA 8+ is preferred but not required Experience in UNIX/Linux shell scripting Experience working with SQL and JPA Strong background in unit and integration testing It would be a great advantage if you also have: Cloud technologies, preferably AWS or GCP Monitoring and alerting tools such as SumoLogic or AppDynamics Continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) tools Enterprise integration applications such as Webmethods or FUSE Our work environment is modern and inclusive with a strong focus on employee experience.
