Role purpose:
The Bilingual Japanese AR Accountant handles the Order to Cash (OTC) related daily tasks, timely Account Receivable (AR) incoming payments clearing and active follow up with the customer about the debtor status reporting directly to a local Finance Supervisor to be based in Ortigas, Pasig City office.
Responsibilities:
To handle all incoming payments both automatic and manual
To complete all bank clearing functions and perform daily and monthly reconciliations
To complete closing activities (monthly, quarterly, year-end)
Review and evaluate credit limit of customers using internal and external sources
Perform collection activities and credit management related reporting activities
Conduct thorough analysis of financial statements and assessment of credit requests, including new requests, changed requests, refinancing and annual due diligence
Maintain customer master data
Perform internal control activities and ad hoc administrative tasks
Contribute to projects to stabilize and improve process performance
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or other business-related fields
At least 2 years' experience in the field of Accounts Receivable, Cash and Banking or Order-To-Cash at a BPO/Shared Service Centre
Advanced level of English
High Japanese language proficiency (N2 level) required, both in reading and speaking
Understand and good overview of the end to end OTC processes
SAP advanced knowledge
Communicative, people-oriented personality
Good proficiency in Ms Office and general computer use
Ability to effectively coordinate complex deadlines for projects in a high-pressure work environment, with varying degrees of supervision
