The Role
As an Vendor and Sourcing Management Head , you are responsible for SBC's IT vendor strategy and portfolio and the management of procurement policies and processes. S/He builds, coordinates, and maintains strategic vendor relationships to support the SBC IT organization's sourcing needs.
How you'll contribute
Serves as key contact for management and other stakeholders to align IT/business requirements, vendor strategy, and external resource demand
Develops and maintains strong relationships with vendor suppliers to ensure sourcing of scarce talent and technology procurement at optimal cost
Coordinates requirements and expectations with business leadership and appropriate stakeholders for contract renewal and negotiations; works closely with the GSD team in conducting negotiations including negotiation of commercial terms with suppliers
Manages vendor portfolio for the IT organization and handles vendor-related incidents, crisis, and conflicts by effectively collaborating with both parties resulting in win-win solutions
Develops and implements processes and tools for vendor sourcing and management, handling different types of contracts, vendor performance reviews, risk assessments, disputes and issue resolutions.
What we're looking for
Professional certifications in project management such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or PgMP (Program Management Professional)
Professional certifications in vendor management such as ITIL Expert
Professional certifications in IT governance such as CGEIT (Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT)
Industry-specific certifications such as Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) or other regulatory body
10-15 years experience in vendor and sourcing management, with several years of experience in a senior management role
