The IT Strategic Planning & Performance Management Lead/Principal leads the local IT Business Unit in the provision of structure, consolidation, and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data on IT Strategy, Planning, Demand Management, and Performance Management of set plans & objectives, development of basic assumptions and data points for larger unit plans, budgets, or estimates and ensuring that assignments are aided by established procedures, practices, and department or relevant team coordinators for both local and Group in pursuit of local IT Business Unit objectives and targets
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Establishes Governance Processes and Monitoring of Key IT Strategic Objective and Results to meet overall IT business objectives
Creates a single point of visibility and control on IT Strategies and Performance Management against IT Strategic Objectives & Key Results to upper management for quick business decisions and control
Manages overview of Local IT Business Unit Portfolio Management including, (1) relationship management with local and group stakeholders (i.e. client departments, support department, and vendors) (2) local implementation of group projects (3) strategic projects ranging in size, complexity involving several internal and external team players in a matrix organization
Provides analytical/strategic-thinking and leadership support that enables project teams to: 1) isolate business issues 2) design and execute analytics for studying business issues (technology research, scenario planning, forecasting, business case development, etc.) 3) develop technical content (competitive intelligence, market trend analysis) 4) support development of formal recommendations to leadership 5) create documents (line of business strategies, etc.) that inform critical strategic issues and decisions.
Continually develops IT Strategic plans and roadmaps and manages the operational and project-specific reporting for IT Local Business Unit to both Local Business Unit and Group, including securing alignments and approvals from relevant stakeholders
Plans and reports progress in key Local IT Business Initiatives and current roadmap to the target state
Works closely with Corporate PMO both in Local and Group to report IT-Specific Initiatives as well as identify, evaluate & develop methods and procedures for continual process improvement of project management capabilities in the business organization specific to IT Projects and Initiatives.
Establishes and maintains knowledge database on IT Strategic & Planning, Demand Management, and Performance Management of Objectives & Key Result processes and conducts continual process improvement/innovations for increased effectiveness and efficiency using appropriate models and methodologies
Ensures IT Strategic Plans are regularly reported to upper management on a timely basis
Aids in information campaigns on IT-related announcements and major communications within the company
Actively engages with different IT Teams to come up with IT Strategic Plans including but not limited to Projects and Key Initiatives, including but not limited to yearly strategic plans, quarterly checkpoints, and monthly operational performance metric reviews
Works closely with the AIA PH IT Leadership Team to manage risks and resolve challenges on IT Strategic Plans and Performance against Objectives & Key results
Handles cadences for Annual and Quarterly Objective & Key Results Planning and performance management reviews
Manages the accuracy, completeness, and quality IT Strategic Plans and Performance Management Repository according to AIA PH Risk and Control Standards
Communicates timely and ensures appropriate alignments and actions are secured to aid in ensuring that IT Strategies are met
Highlights risks due to changes or delays and appropriately flags negative impact to IT Strategies on a timely manner to upper management
Interfaces and leads process discussions on all Annual Strategic Planning Activities within IT and other Strategic Performance Management-related activities in compliance to the AIA Risk & Compliance Teams and Internal Auditor reviews
Ensures continual process improvement aligned to business needs and industry trends and recommends to senior management strategic initiatives to further enhance the IT Strategy & Performance management process regularly
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 10 extensive years of experience in Business & Financial management, Program Management, Stakeholder management, IT Software Development Lifecyle/DevOps/Project Delivery of IT products and systems following Traditional and Agile methodologies, and marketing communications
Has strong project/program management skills
Knowledge of IT Software Development Life Cycle and ITIL Practices
Knowledge in Business and Financial Management, preferably with marketing and communications skills
Knowledge in Design Thinking and Feasibility Studies
Preferably has good command of visual graphics and design
Bachelor's degree in combined Business & Information Technology, Engineering, or similar field
Insurance or financial services industry experience ideal but not a must .
Strong change agent and can influence mindset and behaviors, including those of senior leaders
Self-starter, with the ability to ideate, plan, and execute IT Strategy & Performance Management related initiatives to support new ways of working and key IT Strategic Plans/Initiatives
Passionate about agile, innovation and change and are excited to promote and embed them across the organization
Intellectually curious and loves learning new skills and capabilities
Strong knowledge in agile ways of working including values, principles, practices, and tools
