About the Team & Business Line:

As a core member of our Product Development team you will work with dedicated professionals to ensure our clients maintain access to their critical information assets while keeping Citco ahead of industry trends.
Your Role:
The Database developer will be involved in major company projects and will be responsible for working with a team of Developers in onshore and offshore locations. The role has heavy concentration on data replication and synchronization, performance analysis and tuning, and using evolving technologies.
Develop and maintain procedures, functions, views, packages, materialized view and other database objects in Oracle and Postgres Database
Develop using Python for AWS
Perform deployments in non production environments and provide support for production deployments
Work with the multiple tier application teams on development of well performing system
Working with team to assign responsibilities and ensure timely completion of required tasks.
About You:
Technical Skills
Must be proficient in performance tuning
Knowledge of Postgres and Oracle PL/SQL
Must have be able to create concise and clear data models
Must have knowledge of materialized views
Knowledge of replication and data export and import utilities
Knowledge of AWS infrastructure and key concepts
Experience in financial industry a plus
Must have excellent technical skills and knowledge of Unix and Windows operating systems
Assists in troubleshooting application problems
Design and create effective websites and applications
Write reusable, testable, and efficient Python code
Integrate data storage solutions
Create integrative systems
Integrate user-facing elements and understand end-user requirements
Strong background on Oracle PL/SQL database and Unix scripting
Experience in Oracle Data Integrator - development and maintenance
Experience in AWS infrastructure and key concepts
Embrace breadth of engineering competencies including DevOps and testing
Analysis Skills
Understands the Company System Lifecycle Methodology, and project development lifecycle
Contributes to database/python design reviews
Possesses strong understanding of the system deployment process and correlation with database administration responsibilities
Coordinates and conducts database/python design reviews
Possesses keen troubleshooting and creative problem solving skills
Possesses the ability to translate user needs and projections into system hardware and/or software requirements
Good understanding on data concepts, design patterns and algorithm
Leadership skills
Must be conducting after general working hours conference calls with the off shore team
Excellent organization and oral/written communication skills
Ability to update management on key projects and issues
Lead and direct others on project and incident calls
Education & Experience:
University level education in Information Technology
Data Architecture and Modeling is a plus
Financial Services technology experience is preferred
