Responsible for leading teams to deliver project(s) that span across one or more business units. Manage resources, schedules, financials and adhere to stage gate quality and SDLC control guidelines throughout the full systems development life cycle. This also includes management of issues, risks and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery. Contribute to process improvement initiatives as it relates to improving project delivery.
The Senior IT Project Manager has the authority to run the project on a day-to-day basis. Verify that the project produces the required deliverables of quality, within the specified constraints of time and cost and to achieve the potential benefits defined in the business case.
Qualifications
Manage a program of complex initiatives including AXAlerators that span one or multiple lines of business
Oversee all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the program is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives
Responsible for full project life cycle: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation, planning, execution, monitoring to testing and deployment for one major or several minor initiatives simultaneously
Be responsible of the day-to-day management of project activities defining and managing scope, budget, resources, timelines and quality with full responsibility and authority to complete the assigned projects
Assists the T&T Leads to direct the team towards completing the project delivery target
Communicates and engages with sponsors via Steering committee meetings and facilitates workstream and core meetings with the project resources
Maintain project plans, manages scope, anticipates, mitigates, project risks and creates and implements strategies to mitigate shortfalls in project timeline and budget
Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, dependencies, costs, risks and issues, communicated across leadership team and project stakeholders
Lead project teams by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones
Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence
Collaborate closely with Demand process team to assess initiatives and plan projects upon project budget approval
Coordinates with Resource management team and resource managers to ensure adequate allocation of resources to projects is being managed
Drive vendor activities from request to proposal, vendor selections and proposals for evaluation by appropriate key stakeholders
Review the Statement of Work and Specifications of the contract and consolidate feedback from project team for the requested goods and services
Understand interdependencies between technology, operations and business needs
Demonstrate a functional acumen to support how solutions will address client goals while maintaining alignment with industry best practices
Continue professional development in order to keep abreast of emerging technologies, methods and best practices
Manage ongoing quality control and participate in quality issue resolution
Set and continually manage project and program expectations while delegating and managing deliverable with team members and stakeholders
Monitor, track and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies and critical path deliverables
Manage project budget working closely with Finance and IT Financial Control team to monitor and report project financials - including the estimates created during the funding process, ongoing allocation of financial resources and status of the project financials
Makes project decisions and recommendations to management about schedules, prioritization and resource allocation with inputs from project team members as needed
Exhibits extensive understanding of project and program management principles, methods and techniques
Creates project framework improvements to establish better practices, set standard templates, strictly implements PM framework policies, and determine standard tools for overall project management in T&T expanding to other business units in AXA
Conduct basic project management trainings within T&T and other business units to establish PM awareness and strictly implement project governance standards within the organization
Assign other duties as deemed necessary
