The Role
Lead and manage the Retail IT Digital DevOps team. Responsible for the environment provision and deployments, CI/CD pipeline, ensuring 99.99% uptime of PROD and daily maintenance of all infra/platform components. Leverage DevOps best practices in combination with automation tools to streamline application development lifecycle, onboarding process and app team consumption model. Apply coding skills to develop robust DevOps platform integrations.
Lead the team's adoption and transformation to the cloud through significant contribution to the cloud architecture, modern cloud engineering tools and Agile practices.
How you'll contribute
Develop best in class solutions into PaaS platform to enhance/ build up platform functions' availability, extensibility, scalability, compatibility, etc.
Leverage breakthrough IT technologies to build cloud platforms and applications, i.e. leverage public cloud like AWS and CI/CD platforms like Terraform, Ansible, GitLab CI, K8s.
Continually review and evolve existing platform architecture to adopt modern engineering practices i.e. micro-service, container, kafka, CI/CD, ITIL.
Design and develop automated processes to maintain, upgrade, test, monitor CI/CD DevOps pipeline for the tool chain (GitLab, Jenkins, Artifactory, Scanning tools, ALM, uDeploy).
Provide operations engineering for the DevOps tool chain.
Collaborate with Developers, Ops, Test and Architects to design non-production environments (e.g. SIT, UAT, DR) and production environment for CI/CD tools.
Leverage own exceptional ability and motivation to solve problems and learn quickly.
Prepare and perform application configuration changes (including all components)
Application component installation, configuration, upgrade and tuning including monitoring and performance metrics definition (components like Kong, Redis, Memcache, IRM).
Analyze hardware requirements of new and existing application components, propose and implement infrastructure changes and improvements.
What we're looking for
Over 5 years of relevant experience as an individual DevOps Contributor and minimum 2 years as a DevOps Team Lead.
Computer/Telecommunication, Computer Science/Information Technology
AWS Certification or similar
Systems administrator background
Good fundamentals in Disaster recovery strategy, Performance Optimization, Cluster solution operation, Application Performance Management (Monitoring)
Experience with Service Desk / Ticketing software. Expected to follow a defined ITIL/ITSM processes.
Experience with AWS or Azure
Basic understanding of on-premise infrastructure (RHEL, virtualization, clustering)
Solid programming knowledge in Python, Java (Version 8 and above) and SQL
Solid understanding of CI/CD and experience with Git/Svn, GitHub/BitBucket/GitLab, Jenkins/TeamCity
Solid Linux skills
Solid understanding of networking, proxies, web development, distributed systems and micro-services
Demonstrate ability to learn and systematize business knowledge
Willingness and ability to adapt to changes in priorities and requirements
Active learner who is passionate about technology and keeps up to date with technology changes
Excellent communication and soft skills to deal with stakeholders, peers and management
Management/Leadership skills
