JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops new network troubleshooting strategies to help reduce downtime and decrease maintenance costs
Creates rational strategies for upgrading the company's network software whenever a new update is available
Constructs and implements plans to ensure the company's network continues to operate smoothly in the event of a problem
Stays up to date with new network technology and reports this information to the executive team each quarter
Works closely with other department Managers to assess the growth needs and maintenance of the company's network
Responds to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone and electronically.
Diagnoses, resolves, or recommends resolution to technical hardware and software issues including but is not limited to business and office productivity applications, and proprietary and in-house programs and advises users for appropriate action.
Researches & resolves helpdesk issues using available information resources.
Documents all issues and corresponding resolutions through Service Tickets.
Creates and maintains user access accounts.
Implements and follow standard helpdesk procedures.
Composes Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) documents that address end-user questions.
Identifies and escalates situations requiring urgent attention to appropriate resources.
Tracks and routes problems and requests and documents resolutions.
Prepares activity and other reports.
Ensures the quality of work of IT technicians and Applications Support Specialists by supervising their daily activities and periodically evaluating their performance.
Composes and maintains the section's policy, reports, manuals and procedures.
Stays current with system information, changes and updates.
Continuously monitor service areas and implement process improvements.
Provides training and orientation to new IT members and IT OJTs.
Provides standard hardware specifications to requisitioning departments.
Ensures the working area and facilities under the section are tidy and working.
Must ensure the correctness in spelling, grammar and especially the content of all reports, memos and documentation from the section likewise ensuring company formats and policies are followed.
Performs other related tasks that may be assigned by the immediate superior.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate of IT or Engineering IT-related bachelor's degree with at least 3 to 5 years of working experience as IT Manager
Experience leading and managing large IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies
Certification in Microsoft, CCNA , Linux and Privacy Security
Knows how to operate Windows XP, MS Office 2003, CCTV Admin, PABX, AP Configuration
Knowledgeable in Linux Environment ( Centos, Ubuntu, LAMP - Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP), MS SQL 2005, web server applications, server roles & function
Highly-collaborative team-oriented player
Must have a proven track record with a strong client focus for both internal operations as well as external clients /regulators/vendors
Ability to mentor and motivate technical staff and deliver results to Users in an efficient manner
Strong leadership and people management skills
Systems analysis, design and programming concepts
Fundamental operations of the organization's software, IT hardware and equipment
